Cody Simpson Live at the Gibson Showroom

When he was born in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia 14 years ago, it seemed that Cody Simpson was destined to become a swimmer, having two parents with champion genes. And early on, it seemed he would indeed fill those aqua socks, winning two Queensland championships at an early age. But then, something funny happened: Cody Simpson, the singer, got discovered. With his amateur video turning into a YouTube phenomenon, Simpson made a rocket trek to stardom. With teen, Internet and “Kids Choice” awards racking up on every side and an EP climbing the charts, Simpson stands poised to be the next teen sensation. And as opposed to some of his competition, Cody plays guitar, which is what led him to the Gibson Beverly Hills Showroom for this interview—and performance—for Gibson.com.
